Basic Life Support (BLS) – Blended

This American Heart Association-certified BLS course is intended for healthcare professionals and emergency responders who require the skills to quickly recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac emergencies. Participants will learn high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and techniques for team-based resuscitation in clinical and pre-hospital settings. In this blended learning format, students will first complete the AHA online BLS eLearning course (purchased separately via the AHA link provided by Heartbeat CPR & First Aid), and then attend an in-person skills check to demonstrate competency with an AHA-certified instructor. Notes Students must purchase the AHA BLS online course separately using the link provided by Heartbeat CPR & First Aid. The fee paid to Heartbeat CPR & First Aid covers the in-person skills check and issuance of the AHA BLS e-card upon successful completion. The online portion must be completed before attending the hands-on skills session. Students should bring proof of completion (certificate or confirmation) from the online course to their skills check. All course payments are non-refundable. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise and are happy to accommodate rescheduling within the following guidelines: Rescheduling 48 Hours or More in Advance You may reschedule at no additional cost by contacting your instructor at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled class. A list of alternative dates for the exact course you registered for will be provided, with options available for up to 3 months from your original class date. Rescheduling Within 24–48 Hours of Class Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours before your class will incur a $25 rescheduling fee. You will still be given alternate dates to reschedule the same course within a 3-month window. Rescheduling Within 24 Hours of Class Rescheduling within 24 hours or less of your scheduled class will result in a $35 rescheduling fee. You will still be given alternate dates to reschedule the same course within a 3-month window. 🚫 No-Shows Without Communication Failure to attend your scheduled class without prior communication will result in a forfeiture of the course and all associated fees. Special Exceptions All exceptions to this policy will be considered at the sole discretion of Heartbeat CPR & First Aid LLC.
